Fashion, Fashion Week

It was the first event I attended during Copenhagen Fashion Week A/W 13 at the Gallery exhibition center which hosted a fashion fair displaying Scandinavia’s fashion at it finest. We are talking Autumn/Winter 13 so be prepared for a take on future fashion trends by Scandinavian emerging designers. The standard and quality of design is held very high in general in these countries, so no wonder at all these ‘newcomers’ are comparable to other long established experts in Haute Couture and Ready to Wear. What I saw here in patterns and structures reflects pretty much what I saw high fashion magazines editors wearing all the way during fashion weeks – very upbeat, very modern, with feint-ruled graphic prints , to play on texture – like this modern take on tweed, the courage to deform and architectural take on tailoring – all with a down-home twist of Scandinavian taste in fashion. The event was hosted by Sara Maino, fashion editor and Head of talent area of Vogue Italy – a woman who knows of the importance of emerging talent for our fashion future:
