I hope that you’ve had amazing holidays so far, Flames. I don’t know about you but I always tend to get a little pensive around this time of the year, also reflecting what has happened over the year, what I have learned, achieved, experienced…

My second year of blogging can be compared to a bumpy road- finding amazing opportunities and achievements at the very peaks of it – things I couldn’t even have asked for or dreamt of. I also went through more difficult times, when I couldn’t manage to bring my private life and blogging life together, which resulted in longer breaks. But it was exactly in those times that friends, fellow bloggers and readers had let me know how they appreciate this fashion fueled outlet of mine. I don’t know if you guys actually are aware that it was only thanks to your encouraging words and comments I knew it was right to continue the Flamboyante, no matter what! Thank you so much!!

For my last outfit post for this year I decided to take a couple of snap shots in my favourite jacket ever – an embroidered silk bomber jacket that can be worn on both sides by coveted designer Isabel Marant. When it had hit the stores almost two years ago I never thought that spending a thousand pounds on it was a crazy thing to do, it is the jacket I cannot live without, it has my name written all over it. In fact I wore it to many important events, so shame on me I never gave it the attention it deserved on my blog before. Today I am showing my personal style at it’s most realistic – because frankly speaking I don’t run around in high heels all day. If you’d ever bump into me in my home town Vienna, I’d probably be wearing something like this:

I was wearing: Isabel Marant silk bomber jacket, Asos Anytime biker boots, Zara leather insert leggings, Gucci Soho textured leather disco bag, Maria Black oxidized silver earrings, Isabel Marant ring and Made rings

Always remeber to be yourself and be proud of it, don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve something because they couldn’t and collect those words of positivity, love and encouragement to keep them locked in your heart! Oh – and in case of doubt: wear a baseball jacket – that’s just always chic!

Kristy! Thank you so much – you are amongst the people I am thinking of when I am saying all of this. Our friendship means a lot to me! You too have a smashing 2014, lots of joy and success! Big hug

I really like these cool jackets! Great post overall :)

What a superb jacket! I’m currently amazed at the fact that it has got 4 pockets (which is great, because I’m not a big fan of handbags really…)

But anyway – I hope you had a great start into the new year, Nadine!
I remember you taking a break from blogging this past year, but I never knew you considered completely giving up the blog at some point. You are so amazingly good at what you’re doing, it would be a shame if you would give it up! I always look forward to your posts; there might not be as many, but whenever I come here, I know what I discover is going to be of excellent quality! (And you know, when it comes down to it, quality is always better then quantity. I had to learn that one, too, this year.)

I am happy we always manage to stay in touch in some way! :)

    xo Sabrina

PS: I moved my blog over to whatpixieswear.com just in time for Berlin Fashion Week – I’m so excited!

Sabrina! First of all many thanks again – cannot put into words how much and you are amongst my friends that I mentioned in my post. Wow, I am super excited actually – it means we’ll finally meet in person – very hopefully, since I’m in Berlin too! I will get in touch with you my dear!
